This however, is changing very rapidly as the Government of Gujarat has embarked on a mission to make Gujarat an Education Hub for the country. Realizing this importance and potential of good quality higher education in the state of Gujarat, Rai University came up in the year 2012.

Rai University, established by Gujarat State Legislature under Gujarat Act No. 12 of 2012, promises to fulfill its mandate of nurturing young minds, developing intellectual and professional faculties with a service to the cause of society. It is the mission of Rai University to develop young leaders capable of providing insightful direction to any organization and thereby creating a knowledgeable, loyal and dedicated human resource.

It aims to facilitate and promote studies, research and extension work in emerging areas of higher education with focus on enriched education in the disciplines of engineering, technology, management, journalism and mass communication, etc. and also to achieve excellence in these and related fields.
